| I sommer gikk åtte gutter sammen og leide en 44 fots bavaria. Vi satt kursen mot svenskekysten med Anders som kaptein og Captain Morgan som vår åndelige kaptein. Det ble som det måtte bli. Mye bading, litt seiling og mye rom, som seg hør og bør når man er ekte sjøulker. For å forstå hvor viktig rom er for sjøulker, vil jeg illustrere dette ved å vise til de første fire linjene i sjømannssangen “Yo Ho Ho”:Fifteen men on a dead man’s chest Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum Drink and the devil had done for the rest Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum. (…) Vi startet hardt på brygga i Tønsberg og satt standarden for turen. Videre satt vi kursen mot Strømstad og skulle ende opp i Smögen etter ett stopp innnom Gräbbestad. Smögen var en overlegent festhavn. Da vi sto opp rundt ti tiden dagen derpå for å dra krysse videre over fjorden mot Risør, var det fortsatt et par durkdrevne drankerter på båten innenfor oss som ymtet frampå at de syntes det var feigt og barnslig å drive og legge seg. De hadde fortsatt ett godt grep om sjampisflaska og sjanglet mer enn en sjøulk bør når han ligger i havn. Risør var en stor nedtur for den rom-inspirerte gjengen vår. Vi bestemte oss for å ta en hviledag og heller komme sterkt tilbake i Kragerø. Det gikk bra. Nachspiel m/bading i båten (som alltid…) Vel tilbake til Tønsberg, fikk undertegnende nok av båtlivet, og kastet inn håndklet. Kan ikke huske sist jeg følte meg så dårlig etter festing som da, så jeg mønstret av skuta og tok toget hjemover alene. Men det var en uforglemmelig uke, og neste år går vi for 50 foter’n. |
