Fem herlige dager i Rio

Etter turen i Andesfjellene syntes vi at vi fortjente á slappe av litt. Og det gjorde vi til de grader de første tre dagene. Ipanema Beach er noen hundre meter fra hostellet várt, vaeret var flott og vannet var varmt. Dermed brukte vi det meste av de tre første dagene pá stranden. Vi orket ikke mange timene for solen stekte hardt og brutalt, men med solkrem med høy faktor har vi overlevd uten á bli solbrent.
Favela Funk - partyet som nevt i siste innlegg ble absolutt sá bra som forventet. Vi ble kjørt i minibuss til et omráde av byen der det bor mest fattige. Lokalet var stort, og at det var plass til 3000 er helt sikkert. Vi var redde for at vi kom til á bli de rare turistene, men etter noen minutter der inne følte vi oss som en av dem. Møtte et hyggelig brasiliansk jente som viser seg á vaere datteren til eieren av butikken der jeg kjøpte mine nydelige nye Hawaianas.
Dag nr. 4 fant vi ut at det var pá tide á oppleve mer av Rio, sá vi meldte oss pá en guidet tur med en lokal helt som hostellet bruker til guide. Han var en artig skrue og kjørte oss opp til Jesus - statuen (det var dessverre for varmt til á mate apene pá veien, apene lá á slappet av i skyggen et sted), sá en spesiell kirke som sá industriell ut pá utsiden, men hadde flotte glassmalerier inni og vi sá en berømt trapp. Trappen var fliselagt av en kunstner som tidligere prøvde á selge maleriene sine der. Han solgte lite og tenkte at hvis han pyntet trappen kom det kanskje flere folk. Det endte med at han pyntet hele trappen og sluttet á male, sá ná lever han av den flislagte trappen.
Den siste hele dagen dro vi pá Favella - tur. Etter turen satt vi igjen med mye informasjon om hvordan favellaene oppsto, hvordan flere styres av narkotikaindustrien i dag og hvorfor myndighetene ikke greier á gjøre noe med problemet. Kontrasten mellom de rike og de fattige her er enormt stor. Det fine var at vi ikke følte oss utrygge i det hele tatt og at favellaene fungerte som egne bydeler der folk stort sett holdt pá med sitt. Etter turen var det klart for noen siste ettermiddagstimer pá stranda, etter to timer ble himmelen svart av tordensskyer. Veldig morro á bade i det etterfølgende varme sprutregnet:) Regnet toppet dagene i Rio sammen med en fin middag pá en restaurant der kelnerne kommer med kjøtt sá lenge man viser det grønne merket, viser man det røde derimot skjønner de at du er mett. Hoertes ut som at dere har hatt noen bra dager i Rio. Haaper Favela touren stod til forventningene. Jeg syntes ihvertfall det var en av hoydepunktene med Rio. Gleder meg til aa lese om hva dere opplever i Soer Afrika ogsaa. Det er et sinsykt kult land. Pass dere for loevene og ikke dra elefantene i halen.
