Back in Brissie

Det er bare aa beklage, men vi har vaert forferdelig daarlige til aa skrive noe paa karlkleive.com. Ikke fordi vi har glemt dere eller ikke tenker paa dere, men fordi ukene flyr og uni tar alt av pc-tid. I dag er jeg derimot ferdig med mid-term eksamen, og naa sitter jeg og venter paa at Karl skal bli ferdig med sin foerste av tre eksamener paa tre dager. Dermed blir det en liten pustepause i helgen. Hurra!
Siden sist har vi som sikkert alle vet kommet oss trygt fra India og tilbake til Brisbane. De tre foerste ukene hadde vi veldig hyggelig besoek av en trivelig gjeng paa sju fra Norge som vi reiste rundt og koste oss med. Det meste gikk som planlagt, inkludert en herlig tur paa Kiana paa Withsundays. Det var fint aa dykke med Paul igjen. Det eneste som ikke gikk som det skulle var telttur til Fraser Island, men vi ble stoppet av tornado-varsel den morgenen vi skulle kjoere ut. Like greit siden tordado og telt nok ikke er saa gode venner. Det ble veldig tomt da gjengen dro, ble vant til aa ha alle rundt oss hele tiden. Plutselig satt vi ensomme tilbake med pensum som maatte leses og oppgaver som maatte skrives.
For min del har dette semesteret blitt litt annerledes. Greide ikke aa bestemme meg for fag (som vanlig) og sjekket ut muligheten for a skrive prosjektoppgave i stedet for to av fire fag. Fikk beskjed om at det egentlig var for sent, men at jeg kunne spoerre om noen ville vaere veileder. Og vips fikk jeg lov til aa vaere med paa et forskningsprosjekt i regi av Queensland Health og jeg faar betalt 20 timer i uka for aa gjoere ferdig studiet. Gruppa skal finne ut av hvordan eldre sjaafoerer kartlegges av lege, ergoterapeut og/eller Queensland Transport for aa finne ut om de kan beholde foererkortet eller ikke. Vi har faatt godkjent etikk-soeknaden saa naa kan vi starte med intervjuer, noe jeg baade gleder og gruer meg til.
Karl sitt semester er ogsaa litt annerledes fordi han tar to fordypningsfag i finans i stedet for de vanlige MBA-fagene. Han blir glad og fornoyd naar han kan sitte med musikk i oerene og regneark foran seg, mens mumler fortsatt litt i skjegget naar han maa skrive myke ‘det finnes ingen riktige svar’ - oppgaver;)
Ellers har hoesten kommet med et kaldt drag i lufta, selv om det fortsatt er like varmt midt paa dagen og buske og genser er bare aa glemme om man skal gaa en liten tur. Gutta er i hvert fall fornoyde med at det gaar letter aa sove om natta, og jeg maa vel nesten si meg enig. Bare gruer meg til aa ta fram soveposen igjen..
